OneRepublic, Fitz and The Tantrums, and James Arthur are bringing their signature sounds to the Jiffy Lube Live!
Fitz and The Tantrums was formed in Los Angeles in 2008 and is composed of Michael Fitzpatrick (vocals and keyboards), Noelle Scaggs (vocals, percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboards, percussion, guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums, percussion). The band’s musical style can be best described as “soul influenced indie pop” and it’s influenced by the classic songs of the Motown and Stax record labels. Their music doesn’t feature guitars and Michael said in an interview, “I did want to try and make a big sounding record without guitars. For me, I just feel like in any music that has a band, the guitar is always there, it's always featured, it's always prevalent. I'm just sick of hearing it.” They’ve had a stellar career with 3 studio albums, 6 music videos, 2 EPs, and 8 singles. Their music has been featured on the soundtrack of the 2013 film Identity Thief and in many TV shows such as Bones, Desperate Housewives, Criminal Minds, The Vampire Diaries, and Suits. It’s also been used in commercials for Wells Fargo Bank, Reebok, Argos and on the soundtrack for the popular video game FIFA 13.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to indie pop and neo soul music!
